Beauty in decay - Allotment life / January

 

January may be cold and grey but it also holds such beauty in its decay, nature can be amazing with such small details we so often fail to see when rushing about in our important busy lives.

So taking a flask of tea and soup up the allotment, we felt smug and spoilt with our little slice of heaven. 

My new nephew was introduced to allotment life, snoozing in his pram with the Winter sun warming his nest. We listened to Mr Robin thanking us for the fresh earth exposed as we built a huge compost bin.

Allotment life is fun!
